I had a fabulous shoot in the New Forest last week, to photograph the gorgeous Ellie and two of her horses. Winter really creates some magical photos!
First up was Beau (the bay). He's seven years old, and Ellie has owned him for four years. He is out competing Advanced Medium and working PSG at home. Beau is an absolute sweetheart and he was a fabulous model. I don't think he put a hoof wrong, and you can see from the photos that him and Ellie have a trusting relationship. I'm so pleased we captured so many great photos of Beau, as Ellie has never had any of him before, and she has owned him the longest – so they will be extra special.
Next up was Lancelot. He is thirteen years old and Ellie has owned him since last October. They are out competing Grand Prix. Lancelot has real presence and he has to be the star of the show, I think he knows he looks like a Disney horse! We did lose him halfway through the shoot and he proceeded to do a perfect dressage test around the field until Ellie caught him! He floats when he moves, absolutely beautiful to watch, under different circumstances.😀 Ellie said he loves nothing more than a cuddle in the stable and he is really affectionate and fun to be around.
