Getting out my comfort zone 😬
As a photographer I'm always wanting to challenge myself and try photographing new things. My aim is to be able to photograph anything in my style, for people to be able to see one of my images be it a horse, a child or a person, and for them to know it's one of my images.
I decided I wanted to photograph a ballerina, now I know nothing about ballet, but I think it's beautiful, classical, whimsical, romantic. All the things that I love to come across in my photos.
I met with the beautiful Emily. Emily is just 18 years old and is in her second year at Central School of Ballet in London. Emily absolutely loves to dance and plans to audition for professional ballet companies around the world at the end of her three year course.
I asked Emily how ballet made her feel and this is what she said: "I have adored ballet from a very young age, and I feel so lucky to be able to have the chance to pursue my career in something I love doing everyday. It gives me a goal to work towards, which bears great results if you continuously push yourself outside your comfort zones, while trying to strive for perfection."
Please enjoy the photos.
